Brief Summary of Holy Bible

The Bible story from Genesis to Revelation is broken into six parts:
1. Why God created us and this world
2. Our problem with sin
3. God’s plan for making it possible for us to walk with God in spite of our sin
4. What Jesus did for us
5. What God wants from us and for us now
6. What is ahead for this world and mankind

From Genesis to Revelation is a story of God’s love and redemption for his creation. It begins with God creating the heavens and the earth, and making humans in his image. Read Genesis 1:1-31, Genesis 2:1-25, Isaiah 45:12,18

It continues with God choosing a people, Israel, to reveal himself and his plan for the world. Deuteronomy 30:19, Joshua 24:22, 2 Samuel 7:23-24

It reaches its climax with the coming of Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God and the fulfillment of all the prophecies. Revelation 1:7, Acts 1:11, Matthew 25:31–46, Revelation 20:4-5, Matthew 1:22-23, John 5:28, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, John 14:3, Luke 12:37, and Acts 1:113.

It also tells how Jesus sends his Holy Spirit to empower his followers, who are called the church, to spread his message to all nations. Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38-39
It ends with a vision of the future, when Jesus will return to judge the world, and create a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more sin, sorrow, or death. Daniel 9:24, Habakkuk 2:3, Daniel 12:9, Daniel 8:26, Acts 2:31, Revelation 20:1-15, Isaiah 11:2, Daniel 10:14, Matthew 8:11

That is a brief summary of the story of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
For us to see beyond somewhat obscured facts, we need to gain greater comprehension and understanding of exactly what is contained in God’s Word, with as much detail as possible.

I hope this summary will guide you in the right direction to study and know more about the world, yourself and God.
This write up also is for myself because one of the ways I learn is by writing. It helps me get better.

I hope you benefit from this brief summary of the Bible. And also hope it sparks a greater interest in knowing and understanding God’s Word. I do not want to face Him when I leave this earth knowing that I could have read more, studied more, memorized more, but didn’t.
How about you?
