THREE AMAZING FACTS ABOUT LIFE (PART 2)

Good day beloved. Thank you for following up part 2 of the series ''Three Amazing Facts About Life.

It has been said, “A man that feeds on idea cannot be overtaken by idleness.” Last week edition, I treated the word “T.W.O” (Time, word and opportunity) which are three things in life that once gone, they will never come back.

This week, we will be looking at other three things in life that destroy a man/woman. These destroyers are: 
(a) Anger
(b) Pride
(c) Unforgiveness

(a) ANGER: It was defined as a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility directed at another. ''Anger is an emotional reaction that impacts the body. A person experiencing anger will also experience physical conditions, such as increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, and increased levels of adrenaline and noradrenaline''.

The Holy Bible says, anger is found in the bosom of fools (read Ecclesiastes 7:9). It is a cancer that eats from within to the outside of the body. There are two types of anger: Holy anger and Evil anger.

Throughout the ministration of Jesus Christ here on earth, the Bible recorded he was angry only once, and that was when people turn the temple which suppose to be a place of worship to a den of thieves (read Matthew 21:13). The action here shows holy anger, which is good.

On the other hand, evil anger is like a venom of a viper which destroys the whole body, and leads to death. We see this anger in pharaoh when he and his great army blindly pursued the Israelites. He was burning with great anger and trying to overtake them.

But unfortunately for them, they all perished in the red sea. Evil anger blinds both inner and outer eyes. Do not allow your anger to lead you to commit sin (read Ephesians 4:26, Psalm 4:4). I pray that every anger in your life that will cause you damage and to others be destroyed in Jesus name.

(b) PRIDE: This is one of the fruit of carnal body. The origin of pride is from the old serpent; Lucifer. Oxford Dictionary uses the following words to describe pride: feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired. 

 an adage says "pride goes before fall". This is what happened to Lucifer. He was so proud of himself that he wanted to be like the most high God. Nebuchadnezzar also fell as a result of pride, but later retraced his steps and humbled himself . God restored him back after he realised what he did.

Pride has brought a lot of great men and women of God down. This is why Peter warned us in the 1 Peter 5:55 “likewise you younger people submit yourself unto your elders. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with huminity: for God resisted the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 

Don’t be carry away by your economic power because Pride will bring you down and the fall will be a great one. Humble yourself before the Lord and before your fellow men, God shows favour to those who are humble  (proverb 3:34). Flee from pride before it is too late.

(C) UNFORGIVENESS : This is another destroyer that destroy great people when you don’t forgive other that offend you. A brief definition of unforgiveness is “a grudge against someone who has offended you”. Another definition of unforgiveness is not having the compassion to forgive. Unforgiveness is a sin that causes us to think and do evil things.

You have already closed heaven against yourself and you are operating under a curse if you failed to forgive. If you stop showing mercy to your neighbors, God also will not have mercy on you. Matthew 6:12 says ''…forgive us our debt..as we forgive our debtors''. if you decide not to forgive, God also will not forgive you. 

Unforgiveness can lead to hypertension and other terrible disease which can not be cured except you change your thinking and forgive.

The power to live a good life and overcome the world is in us. Flee from A.P.U (Anger, Pride, and unforgiveness). They are destroyers. Endeavors to overlook whatever that will stand as a stumbling block to your healing or salvation. Don’t allow any man to put all these in you by their actions. May you be guided by the spirit of the Lord always.
